Royal Wharfedale Lodge has become one of seven Lodges within the Province to Initiate four new Brethren in 2011. 2012 is also going to be a busy year as those and yet more Initiates and Fellowcrafts are raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.

For the fifth year running, our Masonic stand at the Otley Show was manned under blue skies. Although temperatures were well below those of last year the crowds once again turned up and several gentlemen showed an interest in our display promoting freemasonry in general and our own lodge in particular. We look forward to hopefully seeing the fruits of our labours.

Anyone wishing to find out more about our fraternity and meet socially with Masons and non Masons are most welcome to join us in the bar /lounge from 8.15 pm onwards the 1st and 2nd Fridays in the month. Here, experienced Masons will answer any questions you may have and conduct you on a brief tour of the building. Please contact the secretary ( before making your visit.

The lodge trip to Harlow Carr Gardens was well supported and the weather made the day a great success. The meal at the Smiths Alms Beckwithshaw afterwards was most welcome.

The Worshipful Master on behalf of the Brethren of Royal Wharfedale Lodge No 1108 is again to attend the Service of Rememberance at Otley in November and lay a wreath in memory of those who gave their lives in past and present conflicts.

All are welcome.
